Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promoter
    The promoter is: CU Services Limited, registered in England and Wales with company number 06641089 of Coventry University, Priory Street, Coventry, England, CV1 5FB.
  1. The competition
    2.1  The title of the competition is “Win an e-Bike with the ERS Hub Podcast”.
    2.2 The competition is managed by the Electric Revolution Skills Hub.

  2. How to enter
    3.1  The competition will run from 19 December 2023 (the "Opening Date") to 23:59 on 26th March 2024 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.

    3.2  All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.

    3.3  To enter the competition you must:
           3.3.1 subscribe to the ERS Hub page on YouTube;
           3.3.2 listen to one of the ERS Hub podcast episodes on YouTube between the Opening Date and the Closing Date;
           3.3.3 like and comment (what you liked most about the episode and why you want an e-bike) on a podcast episode on YouTube between the Opening Date and the Closing Date;
           3.3.4 sign up for the ERS Hub newsletter at Electrification Connect Newsletter (ershub.co.uk); and

    3.4 The Promoter will not accept:
            (a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
            (b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.

    3.5 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  3. Eligibility
    4.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
             (a) employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
             (b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
             (c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

    4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

    4.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
             (a) automatically generated by computer;
             (b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
             (c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
             (d) incomplete.

    4.4 There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

    4.5 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

  4. The prize
    5.1 The prize is EBCO Urban 2 e-Bike and 2 (two) are available to be won.

    5.2 Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

    5.3 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

    5.4 The promoter is not responsible for any maintenance or servicing of the prize.

    5.5 In order to claim the prize you must reply to the notification email, including providing the information reasonably requested and required by the Promoter to be able to arrange delivery of the prize to you.

  5. Winners
    6.1 From all eligible entries received before the Closing Date, the winners will be determined by the ERS Hub within 5 working days of the Closing Date.

    6.2 The selection is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

    6.3 The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish the surname and county of major prize winners on ERS Hub’s social media channels and newsletter 2 April 2024 (Announcement Date).

    6.4 The Promoter will contact the winners personally by email as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the email address provided with the competition entry. The winners will be asked to consent to the publication of their details ershub.co.uk and/ or ERS Hub social media channels (including a photo of the winners with the e-bike and a quote).

    6.5 Where a winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, if a prize is otherwise unclaimed or denied, the prize shall be deemed as not accepted and a supplementary winner may be selected at random by the ERS Hub and CU Services Limited notified accordingly.

    6.6 If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact the Promoter via email at info@ershub.co.uk before 2 April 2024. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

  6. Claiming the prize
    7.1 Please allow 14 days for delivery of the prize

    7.2 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 of days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.

    7.3 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

  7. Limitation of liability
    Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  1. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
    9.1 The Promoter does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry.

    9.2 You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website ershub.co.uk and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

  2. Data protection and publicity

    10.2 The personal details of the winners (which include their name, address, phone number and email) will be sent to EBCO (EBCO Limited Company number 07176978, 5 Pegasus House, Olympus Avenue, Warwick, CV34 6LW), who will arrange the supply and delivery of the Urban 2 e-Bike. By entering this competition you agree to the transfer of these personal details in this way.

  3. General
    11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

    11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

    11.3 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in England and Wales.
